At Back2Wellbeing, we are a social enterprise centred around the values of integrity and respect. We specialise in massage, pain therapy & reflexology with an emphasis on affordability for all. Rather than being a simple massage provider, we customise our treatment plans to our patients’ condition, level of health and their problem areas. All of our practitioners focus on building a deep level of trust to help make our patients comfortable in the massage environment. If you’re looking for quality massage and pain therapy treatments in Bournemouth, Dorset, then we have what you need.
Our Founder, Aaron Turner, was inspired to set up Back2Wellbeing after a family friend developed Chiari malformation (chronic pain). The friend underwent standard NHS treatment and was given painkillers and experienced no improvement in their health. After receiving a mix of pain therapy treatments such as massage and reflexology, they started noticing significant improvements in their well-being and overall condition. The family friend went from a state of being bed-bound with a poor quality of life, to walking, exercising & socialising. Being able to live their life to the fullest inspired Aaron to provide an alternative to the NHS and Back2Wellbeing was founded on the principles of offering affordable, high-quality pain relief therapy in Bournemouth.
Undoubtedly, living in the modern world adds a lot of stress to our everyday lives. Whether this stress comes from financial, physical, or mental pressure, it can still have negative repercussions like depression, anxiety/trauma, or general ill-health.
We use our bodies ALL DAY for work, socializing, and house chores without thinking of our general well-being. Massage can significantly benefit you physically, mentally, and spiritually. Although it does not always affect major health conditions instantly, our body will positively react and allow a state of relaxation. We can significantly improve our physical and mental health by increasing testosterone, which also elevates blood flow and oxygen levels and promotes the production of brain chemicals like serotonin and endorphins. Our massage therapy in Bournemouth can help improve your overall well-being.
The Mayo Clinic (2018) expresses how beneficial regular massages can be for an individual. Their clinical trials demonstrate that it is an effective treatment for reducing stress, pain, and muscle tension. Additionally, fibromyalgia, stomach issues, heart illness, cancer, and many other conditions where people live with or experience chronic pain may all benefit from massage treatment. Massage therapy helps people cope with the stress and pain of these conditions.
A growing number of NHS consultants, physicians, and nurses agree that as long as their patients do not abandon their conventional treatment as recommended by the NICE guidelines, complementary therapy has been seen to add value to their patients’ psychological and physical needs.
